The wolf cycle path allows you to track the Lusatian wolves. This theme cycle and hiking path takes you from the river Neisse via Rietschen and the wolf's exhibition to the Findlingspark in Nochten (a park with glacial erratic boulders).
More detailed information on the wolf cycle path can be found on the following website: www.wolfsradweg.de
There are 18 information panels (in German) along the wolf cycle path where you can learn a lot about wolves.
Among many other subjects, these panels provide information on the role of the wolf in the creation of myths and legends, the persecution and eradication of the wolf in Europe, the wolf's return to Germany at the end of the 1990s and the seven prejudices against wolves.
Furthermore, the panels provide detailed information about the wolf pack's family life, the wolf's language and senses, its diet and, of course, wolf monitoring.
Lusatia is very popular among cyclists and hikers. Please follow the link for more information on further cycle paths in the region: http://www.radwandern-oberlausitz.de/
